About this item
- Dimensions: 15.7 x 9 x 0.08 inches, Pack of 10, Weight: 0.75 pounds per sheet. KEY FEATURES: Strong adhesive backing suitable for smooth surfaces like metal and plastic. The aluminum foil is durable and scratch resistant. This sound deadening damping sheet is waterproof, moisture-resistant, fire-retardant (B1) and offers excellent air tightness. Operating temperature: 23°F to 248°F (-5°C to 120°C)
- Noise Source Vibration Damping Sheets: Our sound dampening mat is designed to address noise issues at their source, which is different from normal soundproofing products' working principle that only isolate the path of noise transmission through air to reduce decibel levels. When directly applied to the noise source, our sound deadener traps the source's vibrations, substantially limiting its noise-making capability
- How to Use: Noise is generated when a source vibrates, then it travels through the air. Most soundproof materials address the latter issue by blocking airborne noise. However, this sound deadening sheet tackles the problem at its root. By adhering to the noise source, it suppresses vibrations, reducing the amount of noise produced. For optimally soundproof a project, first apply this damping mat to the noise source to dampen vibrations, then use a acoustic material to block remaining noise
- Multiple Applications: This vibration dampening mat can be used when it can be directly applied to the vibrating surface of a noise source. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, not only used on HVAC projects like water pipe, air duct wrap, engines, water pumps, AC vents insulation, exhaust hoses, generator housings, dishwashers, sump pumps, air conditioning compressors, but also perfect for car soundproofing such as cars' floor, ceiling, door
- Easy Install: Our self adhesive noise deadening mat is extremely easy to install. Ensure the surface is clean and dry, then simply peel and stick. Smooth it out from the center towards the edges using your hands. It's user-friendly and effortless to apply. NOTE: Wear gloves during the installation process
